Finland is sending 64 athletes to European Universities Games to Poland.

The Student European Championships will take place at the multi-sport event the EUSA Games in Lodz in Poland 14–30 July. The Finnish universities will be represented by a team of 64 athletes. Rowing and orienteering, which have brought a lot of success in previous years, are not included in these games, but the Finnish team has a lot of potential for winning medals in several different sports.

The expectations are particularly high for combat sports, as some of Finland’s top athletes are taking part. If they are successful, each of the two-player beach volleyball teams could end up on the podium. In futsal, which Finland has traditionally been strong in, the men's and women’s teams will get to measure themselves against the extremely high level of European student futsal. The football team of the University of Jyväskylä, who made it to the quarter-final in Coimbra in 2018, are hoping to repeat their success. The table tennis team from the University of Jyväskylä is a dark horse.

You can watch the games on the official website and on OLL’s Instagram account.
