The Finnish Parliament's Education and Culture Committee heard OLL about the report on sport policy
The Parliament’s Education and Culture Committee invited the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) to the consultation on the first Report on Sport Policy in history on 24 January 2019.
The Report on Sport Policy draws up the basic guidelines for Finnish sport policy for the coming years. In addition to OLL, the consultation was also attended by representatives for the Finnish Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee, among others.
During the consultation, OLL focused particularly on the extension of the Finnish Schools/Studies on the Move programme to include higher education institutions. Here at OLL, we think that the report’s plans to extend the Finnish Schools on the Move programme to higher education institutions in 2022–2024 with an annual investment of 3–4 million euros is good in regard to its contents, but the plans should definitely be brought forward to the beginning of 2020.
