An individual actively supporting student sports is awarded with the Flame of the Year (“Vuoden Liekehtijä”) prize. You may nominate anyone active in student sports for Flame of the Year. Near to the General Assembly, The Board of The Finnish Student Sports Federation will decide on who will be awarded the prize based on the applications.
The prize winners in the previous years have, amongst other things, organised a Sports Appro event, developed a club and been an active volunteer within student sports.
The Flame of the Year prize is awarded anyone active in sports who has contributed to student sports within their subject association, faculty organisation, student nation, interest club, student sports club, or student union. So go ahead and nominate a volunteer with a burning passion for student sports, who inspires others to exercise and who altruistically uses their own time for sports. The final day to nominate someone this year is 31 October 2019.
