Akseli Haanpää

Originally from Hanko, Akseli studies social sciences in Jyväskylä and is proud to be president of the federation this year. Alongside his interest in exercise, he enjoys reading and reflecting on life over a good meal.

As president, Akseli is keen to strengthen the federation’s relationships and collaboration with its members, at the same time enhancing its influence both nationally and internationally. Akseli sees sports and exercise as a matter of social policy that affects urban planning, the national economy and a whole lot more.
